New Stylists!

We are thrilled to be able to introduce you to our two newest stylists, Heather and Carly. Heather is joining us as a senior stylist with many years’ experience in leading local salons. Heather will be available for appointments every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Our second and equally exciting addition is Carly who is joining us as a full time stylist. Carly is a hugely talented, Vidal Sassoon trained stylist who is very passionate about her hairdressing.

Both Heather and Carly will be here with us from mid-April and we are taking appointments for them now!

Staff update:

From the 2^nd – 4^th April our premium stylist, Lucie, completed her third level on the Wella ‘Masters Colour Programme’ scoring a phenomenal 96% in her colour exam! Well done Lucie!

The 4^th April sees Vicki and Faye Meredith start their Assessors Course at Jet Academy. As trained managers they are in the processing of moving the ‘Reed Hair Training Programme’ forward by implementing new and exciting concepts.

The 11^th April sees our stylist, Abbey continue her training to become a ‘Kerastase Specialist’. This is highest accolade you can achieve within the prestigious brand and is held in Hammersmith, London.

The 17^th – 19^th April also sees our colour specialist, Faye, complete her finals on the Wella ‘Masters Colour Programme’. Marvelous news Faye.

We are proud to be able to announce the launch of a new (and fantastic) Kerastase product, Kerastase Cristalliste. Reed Hair is proud to be able to stock this newest addition to the Kerastase collection product range.

Our Premium Stylist, Lucie has just completed her 1st stage of Wella’s Master Colour Programme. This is an intense, degree style course which is held at Wella Studios, London

Last week saw three members of staff; Faye, Samantha & Lauren attended ‘The Sebastian Cult Evening’ held in Factory 7, Shoredith London. The evening consisted of the Sebastian Cult Team demonstrating their latest session styling techniques.

6^th Feb Stylists Abbey and Lucie are attending their 1^st stage on the Kerastase Ambassador Course in Brentwood

7^th Feb Yearly Strategy Meeting – Salon closes for the day as all of our staff attends this fun & educational team building day. We will have guest speakers and demonstrations from Angelo, Sebastian’s Educator. More news to follow!

15^th Feb Our stylist Samantha is attending the ‘Sebastian Mobsters Workshop’ at Wella Studios London to continue her development in ‘Presentation Skills’

16^th Feb Our Colour Specialist, Faye, attends her 3^rd stage of the ‘Wella Masters Colour Programme’ at their studios in London

Delighted to announce we have extended our opening hours Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights – we are now open until 9pm! Finish work late or need a later appointment? Apprentice News

As part of our ongoing training at Reed Hair we took our apprentices to the Tate Modern and V&A Museum last week. This encourages them to think outside the box, look at different techniques and bring their new creations to life on models at the Reed Hair Salon. It’s a great Team Building day and the apprentices’ get to learn a lot about fashion and styles from the past which can be revamped with a modern twist.

We put all that research into practice yesterday (16th January) and they produced “mood boards” in their training session to use in their colouring techniques. You can find out more about the team on the Team Page.

All our apprentices are looking forward to taking part in the “Jet Goes Live Competition” after great success last year we are pleased that Jet are putting it on again! The first heat takes place on the 13th February and we would like to wish everyone the best of luck!!
